Mr. Jerome Smith

Mr. Arthur Jerome Smith, 78, a life-long resident of Thomaston, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at his residence. He was the only child and son of Arthur William Smith and Ruthelle Ellis Smith also of Thomaston. Mr. Smith was an avid outdoorsman, and a peerless handler of dogs. He and his dad spent their lives raising and breeding the finest coonhounds in these parts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Laura Jean Smith Pritchett. Survivors include his son, Arthur Mark Smith, his daughter Amy Diane Smith Street, and son Troy Jerome Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
