Mr. John Edward Chapman

Mr. John Edward Chapman, 79, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at his home. The family of Mr. Chapman will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. Mr. Chapman was born in Harman, VA, on November 16, 1939, a son of the late John and Rhoda Cline Chapman. He served his country in the United States Army and was later employed as a ramp service worker for United Airlines. Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Meta Mandel Chapman; three sons, John Edward (DJ) Chapman, Jr., of Griffin, Adrian (Jina) Chapman of Thomaston, and Dorian (Samantha) Chapman of Anniston, AL; two sisters, Anita Vance of Troy, OH, and Ruth MoHalley of Kenosha, WI; eight grandchildren, Holly (Chris) Tanski of Liverpool, NY, Derek Wells of Da Nang, Vietnam, Devin Wells of Atlanta, J. C. Chapman of Griffin, Holden Chapman and Peyton Chapman, both of Thomaston, and Morgen Chapman and Wyatt Chapman, both of Anniston, AL; and one great grandchild, Audrey Chapman.
