Mr. Lamar Durell Price

Mr. Lamar Durell Price, 77, of College Park, GA, died February 17, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Price will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Rex King will officiate. Burial will be in Upson Memorial Gardens with a reception following at the Silvertown Baptist Church. The family of Mr. Price will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Mr. Price was born March 10, 1940, in Thomaston, GA, to the late Louie Lamar Price and Ouida Lanneau Lashley Price. He was a 1958 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mr. Price was an avid sports enthusiast and played several sports during high school including football, basketball, baseball, and track. Mr. Price was a manager for Dobbs House and later retired from Delta Air Lines as supervisor for passenger service. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Price (Russell) Hancock of McDonough, GA; three sons: Jeff (Kelly) Price of Estero, FL; Corey (Kimberly) Price of Austin, TX; and Durell (LaResa) Price of Thomaston, GA; six grandchildren: Derek (Kayla) Carden of FL; Cooper Price of Austin, TX; Whitney Hancock, Joseph (Erin) Hancock, and Lindsey Hancock, all of McDonough, GA; and Turner Price of Thomaston, GA; one great grandchild, Sawyer Carden of FL; two sisters: Wanda Isbell and Faye Hall, both of Thomaston; and a brother: Oren (Michele) Price, of Thomaston, GA.
