Mr. Lawrence Edward 'Ed' Hallman, Sr., 68, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at his home. Mr. Hallman was born on December 4, 1947 in Webster County, a son of the late Minter Gonzalez and Colista Hill Hallman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hallman was the owner and service technician of Crest Services. He loved genealogy and restoring cemetery markers. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mr. Hallman is survived by his wife, Linda Moore Hallman; a daughter, Stephanie (Geer) Whitney of Woodstock; a son, Lawrence E. Hallman, Jr.; a step-son, Danny (Dana) Brue of Thomaston; a brother; Minter Gonzalez (Linda) Hallman III of Douglasville; a sister-in-law, Elaine Hallman Chambers; and two grandchildren, Ian Hallman and Courtney Brue. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Alton Hallman, and a sister, Ann Smith. The family of Mr. Hallman will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 from 4 until 6:00 PM. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
