Mr. Mark E. Fox

Mr. Mark E. Fox, age 45, of Barnesville, died Wednesday, 2/2/22, at Atrium Health, Macon Medical Center in Macon. A memorial service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12, at 5:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Pastor Billy Smith and Mr. Dennis Gore will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Mark was born on July 21, 1976, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, a son of Larry Eugene Fox and the late Violet Donnette Williams Fox. He was a 1995 graduate of Klamath Union High School. He served his country honorably and faithfully for six years in the U.S. Army. Mark was actively involved with the Upson County 4-H, where he served as a coach for the Shotgun Team and served as an adult leader. He was a member of Christ Chapel Community Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially liked hunting. Mark was a loving husband, father, and friend. He never met a stranger and will be forever missed. Mark leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Fox; his daughter, Savannah (Micah) Robbins of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; his son, Kristian Fox of Barnesville; his father, Larry Fox of Barnesville; his sister, Stacy (Heath) Haywood of Malin, Oregon; his sister-in-law, Wendy Martin of Yatesville; his father-in-law, Robert Jones of Thomaston; his nieces, Jonessa Hood, Sierra Hood, Chelsea Cook, Ashton Blass, Emily (Austin) Mickle; and his nephew, Dustin Cook. Also surviving are his grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with future expenses.
