Mr. Noel Jackson “Jack” Howell, Jr., 82, of Thomaston, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Harborview Health Care. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Howell will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Claude Turner officiating. Mr. Howell was born in Thomaston on November 5, 1938, a son of the late Noel Jackson Howell, Sr., and Ruby Beeland Howell. He was employed by the Coca Cola Company for 42 years and at his retirement was a district manager. He was also the owner and operator of the Howell’s Sunshine Laundromat and the Big Chic in Griffin, until his retirement in 2o19. Mr. Howell was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a guide during quail season at the Red Oak Plantation in Gay for many years. He enjoyed passing on his passion for hunting and fishing to his children and grandchildren. Mr. Howell was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and served the church as a Deacon. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Joyce Collins Howell; three daughters, Cindy Howell (Wade) Marshall, Becky Howell Montgomery and Leisa Howell (James) Collins; four grandchildren, Brynn (Jamie) Gibson, Ryan (Christy) Watkins, Geoff (Katie) Dean and Jake (Rachel) Scott; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marion Bruce Howell and his sister, Sandra Rose Howell.
