With profound sadness we announce the passing of Peyton Noel Kirby, a charismatic and beloved soul, born on June 23, 1999, in Atlanta, GA. Peyton was a beacon of joy and laughter; his funny and loving nature was truly contagious and left a lasting impact on everyone he met. As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Peyton had the unique ability to make everyone around him feel seen, valued, and cherished.
Peyton was a humble yet accomplished individual. He was employed as an Advanced EMT, a role he bore with great pride, and one that allowed him to express his natural compassion and dedication to saving lives. Peyton's dedication to his work in healthcare was truly reflective of his selfless nature. His patients often spoke of his comforting presence and the reassurance he provided during their toughest times.
Peyton is survived by his father Christopher Kirby, mother Misty McConnell, step-father Bill McConnell, step-mother Stacy Cowart, grandmother Rounette Kirby, grandfather Rookie Johnson, grandfather GW Kirby, uncle Rodney Johnson, aunt Celina Fowler, uncle Marty Kirby, aunt Angie Kirby, and sisters Riley Kirby and Ciarra McConnell. He was predeceased by his grandmother Brenda Johnson. His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life.
Please join us to commemorate Peyton's life at a visitation on Friday, Feb 23, 2024, at 4:00pm EST at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, located at 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia, 30040.
Funeral services will be held at Coal Mountain Baptist Church at 10:00am on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.
Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery at 2:30pm in Thomaston, Georgia on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.
