Mr. Richard D. Gregg

Mr. Richard D. Gregg, 74, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 1, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Gregg will be held Friday, December 3, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Nixon and Rev. Edward Rigby will officiate, and interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Friday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mr. Gregg was born in Thomaston on January 1, 1947, to the late Cecil William Gregg and the late Nettie Trice Gregg Echols. He was employed for more than 30 years as a parts manager for the William Carter Company. He was later employed by Walmart in Macon, GA. Mr. Gregg was a member of Sylvia Hill Christian Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregg was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Green. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Gregg of Thomaston; a daughter, Angela (Hank) Copeland of Dublin, GA; a son, Rick (Cat) Gregg of Thomaston; three sisters: Cecile Gregg Smith, Janice (Winston) Smith, and Carol (Buddy) Williams, all of Thomaston; a brother: Mike (Linda) Gregg of Williamson, GA; seven grandchildren: Allie Emerson, Jennifer Smith, Makayla Holloway, Savannah Gregg, Austin Parrish, Katie Parrish, and Elizabeth Green; and four great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and his loving cats, Callie and Sammy, also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
