Mr. Robert 'Bob' Shepard, 85, of Salbar Street in Thomaston, died Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at his home. Memorial services for Mr. Shepard will be held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Mr. Steve Blackston officiating. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Mr. Shepard was born in Thomaston on August 28th, 1932, a son of the late Lige and Willie Bell Turner Shepard. He was a carpet installer and owned and operated Bob's Floor Covering. Mr. Shepard is survived by his wife, Linda Presley Shepard; two daughters, Susan (Mark) Blackstock of Molena and Bridgett Shepard of Thomaston; a son, Robby Shepard of Meansville; a sister, Ernestine (Buford) Dudley of Thomaston; a brother, Lige (Helen) Shepard, Jr., of Eastman; a grandson, Steve (Nicole) Blackston of Thomaston; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a life-long friend, Johnny Raines of Thomaston. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shepard was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Dover Berry. Contributions in memory of Mr. Shepard may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
