Mr. Robert Bruce "Bob" Williams

Mr. Robert Bruce “Bob” Williams, age 73, of Thomaston, died Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Harborview Health Care. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held Tuesday, June 28, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Travis Graham will officiate, and interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was born in Thomaston on January 6, 1949, a son of the late Clarence Bruce Williams and the late Josephine Smith Williams. He was self-employed as a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Williams is survived by his sons, Dana Daniel of Thomaston; Eddie (Mary) Cook of Aiken, South Carolina; Matthew (Vicky) Cook of Belvedere, South Carolina; John (Tiffany) Cook of Edgefield, South Carolina; his sister, Kathy Williams of Thomaston; and eight grandchildren, Shayla Hanson, Elissa Carrasco, Dustin Daniel, Dade Cook, Lane Cook, Dakota Cook, Caleb Cook, and Joshua Cook. Also surviving are multiple great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Judy J. Williams and his brother, Charles Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Upson County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1152, Thomaston, GA, 30286.
