Mr. Robert "Hoge" Miles

Mr. Robert 'Hoge' Miles, 98, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Funeral services for Mr. Miles will be held on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with burial to follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Miles will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5 until 7 PM. Mr. Miles was born in Clarksville, GA., on March 26th, 1919, a son of the late Frank and Hettie West Miles. He had lived in Thomaston since 1939. Mr. Miles was a retired lab technician for Thomaston Mills. He was a former member of East Thomaston Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He had also served as Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 84. He was currently a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Miles is survived by two sons, Terrell (Jo Ann) Miles and Donny (Vickie) Miles, both of Thomaston; two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Brown Miles. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Grove Baptist Church, 1372 Atwater Rd., Thomaston, GA 30286.
