Mr. Robert Levi "Bob" Morgan

Mr. Robert Levi “Bob” Morgan, age 56, of Thomaston, died Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Morgan will be held on Monday, August 8, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Smith will officiate, and interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mr. Morgan was born on September 24, 1965, in Atlanta, a son of Irene Morgan and the late William Floyd Morgan. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He played sports and was a member of the JROTC rifle team while in school. He was a 1984 graduate of R.E. Lee Institute. Bob, as he was known was a handy man and could do just about anything. Later, he was an industrial painter for Ranews. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing. Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife whom he loved dearly, Sally Scruggs Morgan, his loving mother, Irene Morgan, both of Thomaston; his children, Rob Morgan, Mallory (James) Blackmon, both of Thomaston, and Louie (Kimberly) Scruggs of Lincolnton, North Carolina; his brother, Bill (Sonia) Morgan of Thomaston; his sisters, Wanda (David) King of Port Orchard, Washington; and Julia (Jody) Calloway of Metter. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Levi Dickerson, Sr. and Iva Pearl Dickerson and Willie Frank Morgan and Minnie Bell Morgan.
