Mr. Ronald P. Lawrence

Mr. Ronald P. Lawrence, age 66, of Locust Grove, GA, died January 18, 2018, at his residence. Graveside services for Mr. Lawrence will be held on Sunday, January 21, at 2:30 PM, in the Hammock Cemetery located on the family property. Pastor Jereme Chaney will officiate. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1166 Jenkinsburg Rd., Locust Grove, GA, on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the funeral hour. Mr. Lawrence was born on April 22, 1951, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Charles Edwin Lawrence, Sr. and Ruth K. Lawrence. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edwin Lawrence, Jr. and an aunt, Dorothy K. McCullough, who raised him in Hemingway, SC. He was owner and operator of Southeast Wholesale Door and was a partner in Santee Ready Mix. He served in the National Guard and was a Corvette enthusiast. He was a member of the National Corvette Restore Society. Mr. Lawrence was a member of the Indiantown Presbyterian Church in Indiantown, SC. Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Vickie Mulling Lawrence of Locust Grove, GA; a daughter: Chase Lawrence (Jessan) Hager of Asheville, NC; a son: Charles 'Chuck' Lawrence (Alice Palmer) of Monroe, GA; three grandchildren: Palmer Lawrence, McCullough Hager, and Jessa Hager; and two sisters: Marilyn (Holmes) Collins of Allen, TX, and Beverly (Tyndall)Threadgill of Hochston, GA., and his beloved dog, Luke.
