Mr. Stanford Parker, Jr.

Mr. Stanford Parker, Jr., 66, of Thomaston, died Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Riverside Health and Rehab. Memorial services for Mr. Parker will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Tim South officiating. The family of Mr. Parker will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Mr. Parker was born in Thomaston on July 25, 1953, a son of the late Stanford Parker, Sr., and Frances Maudel Bethune Parker. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. Until his retirement in 2018 Mr. Parker was employed by the Berry Global Plastics Company as an extruder. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Theresa Diann Gulledge Parker; his mother, Frances Maudel Bethune Parker; two daughters, Susan Amanda (Tara) Parker of Murfreesboro, TN, and Dana Michelle (Brandon) Kent of Young Harris; a son, Jonathan Edward (Gail) Parker of Atlanta; a brother, Robert Thomas "Tommy" (Cathy) Parker of Thomaston; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
