Mr. Stoney R. Daniel

Mr. Stoney R. Daniel, age 55, of Molena, died on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center. The family of Mr. Daniel will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday evening, October 9, from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Mr. Daniel was born on June 4, 1965 in Warm Springs, Georgia to Patricia Huckaby Daniel and the late George Rudy Daniel. He was a heavy equipment operator and a self-employed logger. He also had a great passion for clearing and grading. Stoney was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. Mr. Daniel loved his family very much and was well known among his family for his Sunday breakfasts and for his grilling capabilities, earning the title “Grillmaster.” He cherished the employees of the Elkins Creek Dollar General, often visiting them two or three times daily. Stoney never met a stranger and will be forever missed by so many. Mr. Daniel leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Angie Melton Daniel; a daughter, Holly Welch of Greenville; sons, Isaac (Carlie) Daniel of Thomaston, and Dustin Ingram of Greenville; his mother, Patricia Daniel; his sister, Mariena Cross of Paulding County; his grandchildren, Aliza Welch, Jackson Howard, and Nathan Howard. Also surviving are his numerous adopted “grand kids.” Stoney was preceded in death by his father, George Rudy Daniel and his grandson, Aidan Howard.
