Mr. Wayne Tyron Elliott

Wayne Tyron Elliott, age 83 of Thomaston, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Wayne was born on December 15, 1935, the son of Tyron Elliott, Jr. and Mrs. Clemmie Melton Elliott. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Lynda Elaine Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a 1953 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. He worked for B. F. Goodrich and WesTek prior to retirement. He was also a cattle farmer. Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bobbie Salter Elliott; three sons, Stanley T. Elliott (Dale), Jerry A. Elliott, Terry E. Elliott (Bonnie); 7 grandchildren, Casey Elliott, Kelly Rivera, Jay Elliott (Kelli), Dusty Elliott (Jennifer), Christy Cook (Justin), Anna Dever (John), Tyron Elliott (Denae); 14 great grandchildren, Addison Rivera, Avery Gomez, Dalton Elliott, Lauren Elliott, Carlin Elliott, Parker Cook, Carter Cook, Cooper Cook, Colton Brooks, Kristen Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Caden Elliott, Landon Elliott, Brinley Elliott. Visitation for Mr. Elliott will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2 PM in South View Cemetery with Rev. Maurice Raines officiating.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
