Mr. Wilbur Franklin Purvis

Mr. Wilbur Franklin Purvis, age 80, of Thomaston, died Tuesday evening at his residence. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Purvis's family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Mr. Purvis was born in Dodge County on March 31, 1937, to the late Daniel and Annie Lee Wood Purvis. He served his country in the United States Army and was retired from the Army Reserve. He was formerly employed at Robins Air Force Base in the area of electronics. Mr. Purvis is survived by his wife, Brenda Wade Purvis of Thomaston, GA; a son, Jeff Purvis of Nashville, TN; a daughter-in-law, Jan Purvis of Thomaston, GA; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie (Mike) Hardeman, of Thomaston, GA; 3 grandchildren, Stephen (Heidi) Purvis of Macon, GA; Daniel (Kendel) Purvis, of Columbus, GA; and Katie (Tyler) Fifield of Thomaston, GA. Two great grandchildren, Kaynen Fifield and Oliver Purvis, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
