Mr. Wilbur Travis Nix

Mr. Wilbur Travis Nix, 83, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Nix will be held on Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 at 2 pm in South View Cemetery with the Rev. Claude W. Turner officiating. Mr. Nix was born in Thomaston on October 17th, 1931, a son of the late Dewey Nix and Mary Craven Nix. For many years he was a delivery driver for the Holox Welding Gas Supply Company. Mr. Nix was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Duncan Nix; a son, Wilbur Darnell Nix of Thomaston; a step-daughter, Sherry Kim Fallins of Butler; three sisters, Lorell Dukes and Donnie Giles, both of Thomaston, and Jeannie Shook of Snellville; three brothers, Wiley Nix and Render (Elaine) Nix of Thomaston and Melvin (Hazel) Nix of Meansville; four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The family of Mr. Nix will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Thursday from 12 noon until 2 pm.
