Mr. William 'Bill' Everett Story, 95, of Zebulon, GA, died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Mr. Story was born June 10, 1923, in Concord, GA, to the late C. M Story and Laura Heidle Story. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a tech sergeant in transportation from 1943 - 1946. He earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was retired from B. F. Goodrich Martha Mills as an accountant. Mr. Story was a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include three nieces and caregivers: Stephanie (John) Cadenhead of Zebulon, GA; Karen Green of Griffin, GA; and Cindy Martin of Zebulon, GA; a nephew, Jack P. Story; nieces: Betty Colwell, Martha Story, Jane Garner, Susan Story Abernethy, and Sally Story. Numerous great nieces and nephews, numerous great- great nieces and nephews, and numerous great-great-great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Mr. Story was predeceased by his wife, Anne Mauldin Story, four brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services for Mr. Story were held Monday, July 30, in the chapel of Fletcher Day Funeral Home. Rev. Travis Graham officiated and burial followed in Upson Memorial Gardens.
