Mr. William Donald Buttrum, 58, of Molena, died Monday, July 21st, 2014 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services for Mr. Buttrum will be held Saturday, July 26th, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Derrick Keeter, Rev. Frank Sledge and Rev. Marty Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery. Mr. Buttrum was a native of LaGrange and was employed with the Thompson Lift Truck division of Thompson Tractor Company for over ten years. Mr. Buttrum was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon and was a member of several committees and as a part of Church Leadership. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dianne Buttrum of Molena; his daughter, Dawn (Neill) Sanders of Thomaston; his mother, Lucile McCurry Buttrum of LaGrange; a sister, Dana Harman of West Point; a brother, Ronnie Buttrum of Knoxville, TN.; and three grandchildren, Will, Aimee, and Drew Sanders, all of Thomaston. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. William 'Dink' Buttrum. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30 until 11:00 am, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
