Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Mixon

Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Mixon, age 73, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at his residence. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mixon will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11:00 AM, in Glenwood Cemetery. 

Mr. Mixon was born in Thomaston on November 14, 1951, to the late Dr. Charles E. Mixon and the late Martha Jewell Pasley Mixon. He was a 1970 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and a graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a degree in landscape architecture. After graduation, he worked in Atlanta and later returned to Thomaston where he was the owner/operator of Eagle's Nest Nursery. Mr. Mixon attended The Gathering Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mixon was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Flitter Mixon; a sister, Catherine Mixon Ruffin; and a brother, Charles David Mixon.  Survivors include a sister, Kelly Mixon of Thomaston; a brother, Mickey (Gina) Mixon of Winder, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
