Mr. Willie Joe Mcdaniel, Sr.

Mr. Willie Joe McDaniel, age 72, of Thomaston, died Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Private services will be held.

Mr. McDaniel was born November 9, 1950, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, a son of the late Peter Cyprian, Sr. and the late Rose Cyprian. He was a graduate of Hawkinsville High School in 1968. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. He was a self-employed contractor. His daily goal was to make everyone he encountered laugh. He loved watching westerns and football and was an avid spades player.

Mr. McDaniel is survived by his children, Willie Joe McDaniel, Jr., Malissa McDaniel, and Mary Jo McDaniel; siblings, Linda Sollars, Christine Rammage, Walter McDaniel, George McDaniel, Bobby McDaniel Taylor, David Cyprian, Peter Cyprian, Jr., Timothy Cyprian, and Allen Cyprian, and his three grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by sister, Elaine Wainwright and his brother, Jimmy Rammage.
