Mr. Wilson L. Perdue, 79, of Grayson, GA, died peacefully Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA, with his family by his side. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Perdue will be held Monday, April 26, at 12:00 PM, at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 AM. Mr. Perdue was born on July 31, 1941, in Thomaston, GA, to the late Wesley Perdue and the late Ruby Wilson Perdue. He was a 1959 graduate of Yatesville High School and later received an Associates Degree from Gordon College. Mr. Perdue was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation where he was a project manager. He was a member of Gideons International for many years. Mr. Perdue was a long-time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher and held various other positions. He later attended Calvary Baptist Church in Monroe, GA. He loved his family, especially his grandsons. In addition to his parents, Mr. Perdue was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Ware Young. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Fallin Perdue of Grayson, GA; a son, Brian (Karen) Perdue of Loganville, GA; three grandsons: Trevor, Trent, and Trey Perdue; a brother, Charles "Yogi" Perdue; a niece, Anna Ware: and a nephew, Glenn Ware.
