Mrs. Aliene W. Rogers, 94, formerly of Thomaston, died Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers will be held on Wednesday, September 24th, 2014 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. David Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers was born in Mitchell County, GA., on January 26th, 1920, a daughter of the late William C. West and Martha Harrell West. She lived most of her life in Thomaston. She was employed by the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Company in 1942 and later worked for the William Carter Company until her retirement. For the last 13 years Mrs. Rogers lived at the St. Paul Apartments in Macon with a brief stay at the Lynn Haven Nursing Home in Gray. She was a former member of Emory's Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Sandra Rogers of Eatonton; a sister, Doris Frierson of Albany; two grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Christy Rogers of Gray and Amber and Mike Linkous of Loganville; and four great grandchildren, Kathleen and Garrett Rogers, and Coleman and Christian Linkous. She was preceded in death by her husband, William 'Pete' Rogers; two brothers, Len and Corbin West; and four sisters, Collee Gordon, Norma Ree Roberts, Mildred Bass and Monteen Kearce. The family of Mrs. Rogers will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 pm until the funeral hour. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice or charity of the donor's choice.
