Mrs. Anne A. Story

Mrs. Anne A. Story, age 86, of Thomaston, died Sunday morning, August 23, 2020, at her residence. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate and the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. A private interment will be held in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Story, a native of Pike County, was born on October 6, 1933 in Concord, Georgia to the late Buford Adkerson and the late Daisy Adkerson. She moved to Thomaston in 1952 and was employed as a secretary with the Georgia High School Association where she retired with 42 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was the Toddlers Sunday School teacher and a volunteer with the House of Care. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Lee Story, two sons, Houston Dinsley Story and Drew Story all of Thomaston; her sister, Carolyn Lovett of Thomaston; and her two grandchildren, Dinsley Drew Story of Thomaston and Rebecca Dinsley Cooke Story of San Francisco, California. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Dinsley “Dink” Story.
