Mrs. Anne Loyd Alverson

Mrs. Anne Loyd Alverson, age 83, of 113 Waters Edge, La Grange, died Wednesday Morning at the residence of her son, Mr. Ed Alverson, near Thomaston. Funeral Services will be held Saturday Morning at 11 o’clock in the Loyd Presbyterian Church. Rev. Tony Dean will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Alverson was a life-long resident of La Grange and a life member of Loyd Presbyterian Church. She had been a bookkeeper for Farmers Mutual Warehouse, Lowell Smith Insurance Agency, Farmers Sales and Service, and Gold Kist. Mrs. Alverson is survived by: 1 Daughter – Miss Pat Alverson, of Powder Springs; 1 Son – Mr. Ed (Debbie) Alverson, of Thomaston; 2 Sisters – Mrs. Sarah (Wallace) Hopson and Miss Helen Loyd, both of La Grange; 1 Brother – Mr. Harold ‘Buddy’ (Jo) Loyd, of La Grange; 3 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock Friday Night. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Loyd Presbyterian Church, 550 Upper Glass Bridge Road, La Grange, Georgia 30240. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of arrangements.
