Mrs. Annie Doris Peaden Dover Collins

Mrs. Annie Doris Peaden Dover Collins, 98, of Thomaston, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at her residence. She was born December 10, 1916, in Rock Mills, AL, to Ira Adrian and Catherine Eichelberger Peaden. Funeral services for Mrs. Collins will be held Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 3:30 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Dr. Albert E. Simmons will officiate. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Thomaston Church of God where she taught Sunday School for many years. She had been employed by Thomaston Mills and the William Carter Company, and she was a hairdresser and a great seamstress. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by husbands, Frank H. Dover and Henry G. Collins, and a daughter, Joyce Dover Johns. She is survived by three children: Nancy Dover (Ronald) Barfield of Thomaston, Frank H. (Carol) Dover, Jr. of California, and Loquita Dover Jordan of Thomaston; fifteen grandchildren: Webster Barfield, Catherine Barfield Baity, Malcolm Barfield, Trey Jordan, Mitchell Jordan, Lee Jordan, Joy Johns Jones, Joanna Johns Green, Barry Johns, Jeff Dover, Bobby Dover, April Dover Frazier, Frank Dover, Jim Dover, and Lisa Dover Johnson; and twenty-one great grandchildren. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
