Mrs. Barbara Elaine Nicholson Thomas

Mrs. Barbara Elaine Nicholson Thomas, 69, of Thomaston, died Saturday, May 24th, 2014 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at 11:00 a. m., at East Thomaston Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas was born on August 31st, 1944 in Upson County, a daughter of the late Robert L. Alsobrook and Maudell Kersey Alsobrook. She was a homemaker and was a member of East Thomaston Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Loraine 'Lori' Nicholson Lindsey of Thomaston and Teresa Thomas (Gary) Abell of Columbus; three sons, Tony (Sonya) Nicholson of Thomaston, Ricky (Donna) Nicholson of Senoia, and Sam (Maryann) Thomas of Weiser, ID; three sisters, Erma (Jimmy) Ellington and Myris (Ed) Kelly , both of Thomaston, and Gail (Larry) Burel of Hampton; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Cromer of Thomaston; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard D. 'Nick' Nicholson, and her second husband, Bobby Thomas. The family of Mrs. Thomas will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.
