Mrs. Beatrice Moncrief

Mrs. Beatrice Moncrief, 89, of Yatesville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Funeral services for Mrs. Moncrief will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 3:00 PM at the Yatesville United Methodist Church. Rev. Howard Gossett III and Rev. Buddy Wall will officiate and burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery In Yatesville. The family of Mrs. Moncrief will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Moncrief was born in Alabama on Febraury 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Lynn H. and Pearl Coley Allen. She was a retired seamstress for the William Carter Company. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and putting jig-saw puzzles together. Mrs. Moncrief was a member of the Yatesville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moncrief is survived by two sons, Cecil (Connie) Moncrief of Yatesville and Danny (June) Moncrief of Macon; a sister, Alice Corley of Cumming; twelve grandchildren,fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Lawson Moncrief. Memorial contributions may be made to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Road, Griffin, GA 30223.
