Mrs. Becky Mckinley Mcdaniel

Mrs. Becky McKinley McDaniel, 77, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at her residence. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McDaniel will be held on Tuesday, November 22, at 2:00 PM, in South View Cemetery. Mr. Chris Hinson and Rev. Ted Kandler will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Thomaston on April 29, 1945, to the late James T. McKinley, Sr. and Annie Laura Blount McKinley. She was a 1963 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and was retired from Flint River Technical School as an administrative assistant. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. She enjoyed many beach vacations with her family, and she was loving and giving to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carlton McDaniel, and a granddaughter, Laura Virginia Huey. She is survived by a daughter, Hope (Robert) Huey of Thomaston; two sisters: Linda Jones of Woodstock, GA, and Cindy (Greg) Culverhouse of Thomaston; a brother: Jimmy (Glenda) McKinley of Thomaston; three grandchildren: Amanda (Jamie) Ray, Mekeyia Huey, and Will Huey; two great grandchildren: Addison and Colton Ray; nieces and nephews: Alicia McKinley, Annie (Travis) King, Mack (Jackie) Culverhouse, and Brooke (Chris) Varner; and two great nieces: Campbell and Charlie King.
