Mrs. Bessie Lucille Hammock Street, 83, of Auburn, GA, died Friday, August 14, 2020, at Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Street will be held on Wednesday, August 19, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Chet Yates will officiate, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until 2:00 PM. Mrs. Street was born in Taylor County on December 20, 1936, to the late Ed and Julia Voncille Booth Hammock. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute, and was retired from Dillon Manufacturing Company where she was personnel and plant manager. Mrs. Street loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary R. Street; a son, Reginald Jackie Ballard; and siblings: Robert Hammock, James Hammock, Lawrence Hammock, Sam Hammock, Marianna Cumbie, Cecil "Billy" Hammock, Dennis "Bo" Hammock, Perry Hammock, Freddie Hammock, and Judy Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Alecia Farmer of Auburn, GA; her son, Kelly (Beverly) Ballard of Bethlehem, GA; one brother, William Hammock of Fort Myers, FL; six grandchildren: Steven Chad Allen and Chaney Lee Allen both of Auburn, GA; Aaron Ballard and Brittany Leigh Taranov, both of Dacula, GA; Colton Blake Ballard and Jake Palmer, both of Auburn, GA, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
