Mrs. Betty Howell Blackstock

Mrs. Betty Howell Blackstock, 88, of Thomaston, died Sunday, January 5th, 2014 at Providence Health Care. Mrs. Blackstock was a life-long resident of Thomaston, a daughter of the late Jim Henry Howell and Allie Boyt Howell. She was a seamstress for the William Carter Company for many years. She was a faithful member of the Clark's Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Blackstock was married to the late William Hardie 'Bill' Blackstock for over 63 years. Mrs. Blackstock is survived by her children, Ronny H. (Brenda) Blackstock of Thomaston and Barbara B. (Mark) Staples of Griffin; her brother, William H. Howell of Thomaston and her sister, Amie B. Gresham of Loganville; three grandchildren, Rhonda (Bobby) Davis of Macon, Steven (Leslie) Staples of Newnan and Sharon Staples of Griffin; and four great grandchildren, Samantha Staples, Dylan Staples, Aime McLaughlin and Austin Jordan. In lieu of flowers, the family of Mrs. Blackstock requests that memorial contributions be made to Clark's Chapel Baptist Church, 176 Mathis Lake Rd., Thomaston, GA 30286.
