Mrs. Betty Jo Mason Starling

Mrs. Betty Jo Mason Starling, 92, of The Rock, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Starling was the long-time post master at The Rock Post Office, retiring at age 87. She had also worked at Rock Hill School Cafeteria. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Starling will be held on Monday, March 21. 2016, at 2 pm in The Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Arianna Eberle will officiate. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Starling, daughter of the late Barry Mason, was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lamar (Mr. Josh) Starling and a son, Robert Lee (Butch) Starling. Survivors include her sister, Barbara Heaton; her long-time caregiver, Martha Raybon; two nephews, Barry Heaton of The Rock and James Heaton; two nieces, Tina Epperson and Ginger Starling.
