Mrs. Betty Lou Manis Reed

Mrs. Betty Lou Manis Reed, 76, of Thomaston, died Monday, November 6th, 2017 at Harborview Health Care. Mrs. Reed was born on December 25th, 1940 in Dalton, a daughter of the late John Clinton 'Clint' and Bertie Lee Griggs Manis. She was a nurse's aide and had most recently been employed by the Lake City Nursing Home in Lake City, FL. Mrs. Reed is survived by her children, Clarence Reed of Thomaston, Jeffrey Wayne Reed of Henry County, Carie Mae Watson of Griffin and Jo Ann Hardison of North Carolina; her siblings, Kathy Manis, Janie Townsend, Joe Manis, Erwin Manis, and Mary Bates ; and several grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Faye Quarles and two brothers, C. L. Manis and Loe Manis. The family of Mrs. Manis will hold memorial services at a later date.
