Mrs. Bonnie Sue Hardy Legg

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Hardy Legg, age 82, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Riverside Health and Rehab after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Funeral Services for Mrs. Legg will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Elder Lee Price and Elder Ed McIntyre will officiate, and interment will follow in the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, October 5, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Legg, a native Upsonian, was born on March 11, 1935, to the late Emmett Hardy and Maud L. Hancock Hardy. She served many years as a paraprofessional with the Upson County School System. Mrs. Legg was a member of the Flint River Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Legg was preceded in death by four sisters: Ruth L. Abernathy, Emily Johnson, Carolyn Richardson, and Betty Matthews. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Edgar H. Legg of Thomaston; two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Tim Cook and Kathy and Glenn Kirkland, all of Griffin, GA; three grandchildren and spouses: Meredith and Ryan Willis of Griffin, GA; Caitlin and John Suddarth of Valdosta, GA; and Kevin and Madison Kirkland of Barnesville, GA; and three great grandchildren: Riley, Asher, and Ivy Jayne Kirkland of Barnesville, GA.
