Mrs. Brenda Faye Youngblood Spillers, 69, of Thomaston, died Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Spillers will be held Sunday, July 3, at 2:00 PM, in Upson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jereme Chaney officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Spillers was born in Meriwether County on April 5, 1953, to the late George Youngblood and Mattie Carter Youngblood. She had been employed as a seamstress by Sheri Lynn in Zebulon and by Carter's, and she had also been employed as a security guard at Thomaston Mills. Mrs. Spillers is survived by her son, Steven Keith Spillers of Thomaston; her adopted daughter: Tammy Moore; a stepdaughter: Jan (Ricky) Hinton of Butler; two stepsons: Brian (Lashae) Spillers of Butler and Todd (Emma) Spillers of Thomaston; her ex-husband: Grover Cleveland Spillers; eleven grandchildren: Michael (Thia) Hinton, Heather (Micah) Hinton, Blake Hinton, Magan Spillers, Colby Spillers, Janice Spillers, Savannah Spillers, Alexis, Katelyn, Allie, and Bentley; one great grandchild: Wyatt Joiner, and two special nieces and caregivers: Martha Renae Riggins Cook and Joyce Faye Leverett.. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spillers was preceded in death by four sisters: Peggy Youngblood Stevens, Mary Youngblood Brown, Martha Youngblood Riggins, and Sarah Marie Youngblood; four brothers: Jim Clyde Youngblood, James Youngblood, Franklin Youngblood, and Thomas Ray Youngblood.; and a grandchild: Aubrey Jaynes Hinton.
