Mrs. Brenda June Mcbride

Mrs. Brenda June McBride, age 77, of Vidalia, Georgia, formerly of Thomaston, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers.

Funeral services for Mrs. McBride will be held Saturday, January 28, at 12:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Patrick will officiate, and interment will follow at Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.

Mrs. McBride was born on May 19, 1945, in Prattville, Alabama a daughter of the late Morace Patrick and the late Margie Barber Patrick. She was a 1963 graduate Autauga County High School. She was a travel agent and later retired as a flight attendant from Delta Airlines. A proud accomplishment was attaining her master’s degree in Psychology from Mercer University at age 60. She loved books and reading. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. While her health allowed, she enjoyed traveling and cooking. She loved the Hallmark channel and animals, especially her fur baby Mia. Mrs. McBride will be remembered as person who was known to see the humor in everything, and she always tried to make others laugh. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. McBride is survived by her daughter, Kim Rogers of McDonough; her sons, Darrin (Barbie Walsh) McBride of Savannah; and Patrick (Patsy) McBride of Statesboro; her sisters, Marlene McClendon and Annette (Steve) LaBier; her brother, Steve (Donna) Patrick; her seven grandchildren; and her five great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” McBride and her son-in-law, Billy Rogers.
