Mrs. Brenda Schofill

Mrs. Brenda Schofill, 70, of Thomaston, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Schofill will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Rex King officiating. Interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, from 6 until 9 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Schofill was born in Thomaston on November 15, 1947, to the late Clayton 'Guy' Dover and Geneva Shepard Dover Berry. She attended R. E. Lee Institute and had worked for the Clayton County Magistrate Court, the State Court, and also as a legal assistant for the Clayton County Solicitor's Office. Mrs. Schofill enjoyed fishing and hunting. She loved her family, and her husband referred to her as the best wife, often telling her, 'No man has ever, or ever will, love a woman like I love you.' Survivors include her husband, Bill Schofill of Thomaston; a daughter, Belinda (David) Eason of McDonough; six siblings, Sandra (Gene) Schofill of Fayetteville, Vickie (Warren) Hanson of Middleburg, FL, Ron Sutton of Jackson, Helen (Claude) Ivey of Stockbridge, Audrey (Tommy) Blackman of Barnesville, and Linda Reeves of Thomaston; a sister-in-law, Martha Jean Dover of Thomaston; a brother-in-law Randy (Karen) Schofill of Lizella; three grandchildren : Kera (Chad) Kirksey, Jay (Jenni)Eason, April Eason; and two great grandchildren , Gentry Claire Kirksey, Annistyn Jane Lynch. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schofill was preceded in death by her brothers: Clayton Dover, Jack Dover, and Wayne Dover, and her sisters, Mildred Tingle and Jean Ponder.
