Mrs. Brenda Shepard Pacatte

Mrs. Brenda Lee Shepard Pacatte, age 57, of Griffin, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at her residence in Griffin, GA. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Truitt will officiate and the family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 AM. The family respectfully requests that attendees please adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear masks. Brenda was born in Hennepin, Minnesota on May 19, 1963. She is the daughter of Mr. Frank Shepard and Mrs. Laverne Fallin Shepard. Brenda loved her family and was a beloved friend of many. Brenda spent many years working at Steve Raymond Chevrolet as a service advisor, was an avid gardener and animal lover. Brenda grew up in the small town of Thomaston where she was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. It was in that small town that she made lasting impressions on many. Brenda is survived by her daughter, Jade (Scott) Spratling of Hoschton; her son, Phil (Lindsey) Ellerbee II, of Cave Springs; parents, Frank and Laverne Shepard of Americus (formally Thomaston); sisters, Lisa (Mike) Truitt of Americus; Mary (Mark) Lane of Thomaston; Catherine Negus of Independence, Missouri; and Patty Teal of Meansville; grandchildren, Ella Spratling, Megan Spratling, Charis Ellerbee, Graling Ellerbee, and Camille Ellerbee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Pacatte, and her brother, Steve Kent. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Upson County Humane Society.
