Mrs. Carleen Selph Hannah

Mrs. Carleen Selph Hannah, 88, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Heritage Inn and Rehab, Barnesville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah will be held Sunday, March 13, at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Pastor Jereme Chaney will officiate, and interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home Saturday evening, March 12, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Mrs. Hannah was born April 26, 1933, in Wheeler County, GA, to the late Nolan and Ophelia Purvis Selph. She was the owner/operator of Merrill's Beauty Box for many years. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, fishing, and playing the piano. She always believed in having fun and enjoying life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Ernest Hannah; a sister, Frances Selph Wheeless; and a brother, Stanley Thomas Selph. Survivors include her daughter, Merrill (Bill) Roan, and her son, Steve (Janice) Hannah, both of Thomaston; five grandchildren: Stacey (Gary) Adams, Beth Speelman, Terri (Perry) Conner, Charley (Candice) Roan, and Mary Kate (John) Allen; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
