Mrs. Carol Underwood Kemp

Mrs. Carol Underwood Kemp, 77, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate, and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mrs. Kemp, a daughter of the late Millard and Bessie Dupree Underwood, was born September 24, 1938. She was a 1956 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and had been a registered nurse with the Upson County Health Department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Mrs. Kemp was preceded in death by a son, John Andrew Kemp. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Kemp, of Decatur, and two grandchildren, Hailey and Ethan Markham.
