Mrs. Carolyn Jean Cochran Truitt Suggs

Mrs. Carolyn Jean Cochran Truitt Suggs, 65, of Thomaston, died Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Suggs will be held Sunday, July 31, at 3:00 PM, at Valley Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Travis Graham will officiate, and interment will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Suggs was born on September 1, 1956, in Wetumpka, AL, to the late Luther Cochran and Martha Woodall Cochran. She was a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and was employed by Badcock Home Furnishings as a sales associate. She was previously employed by Farmers Furniture for seventeen years. She loved her family and her church family at Valley Grove Baptist where she sang in the choir. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Suggs was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Cochran Knowles, and two brothers, Edward Cochran and Thomas Cochran. She is survived by her husband, Stan Eugene Suggs of Thomaston; two daughters: April Truitt (Ben) Williams and Melissa Truitt (Eric) Thomas, both of Thomaston; two sisters: Rose Cochran Todd Pitts and Joyce Michael, both of Thomaston; four grandchildren: Katie Risinger, Braden Williams, Christian Chunn, and Jordan Mays; and several nieces and nephews. She also loved her dogs; Mylie, Macey, and Odie; her cat, Babe; and her grand dog, Goose.
