Mrs. Charlotte Mcgeath

Mrs. Charlotte McGeath, age 73, of Mauk, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at her residence.

Charlotte was born in Thomaston, on February 23, 1950, the daughter of the late Bob Hallie Barfield and the late Edna O’Neal Barfield. She attended R.E. Lee Institute and recently was employed as a contract carrier for the postal service. Charlotte married the love of her life, Bill on December 10, 1982, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Charlotte’s life can be summarized as an adventure. She never met a stranger and will be forever missed by everyone she knew. She enjoyed gardening and will be remembered for the love of her Lord, love of her family, and her infectious smile. Charlotte was of the Christian faith.

Charlotte leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 40 years, Bill McGeath of Mauk; her daughter, Jeri (Pete) Holt of Thomaston; her brother, Emory (Judy) Barfield, her grandson, Stepehen (Brittini) Means, and her great granddaughter, Leah Means. Also surviving are many friends.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her son, Loren Means, her brother, Alton Barfield, and her nephew, Ryan Barfield.

A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at the family residence at a later date.
