Mrs. Claire Noell Culverhouse

Mrs. Claire Noell Culverhouse, age 94, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living Columbus. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Culverhouse will be held Sunday, March 17, at 2:00 PM, at The Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. Dr. Timothy D. Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Mrs. Culverhouse was born at The Rock, GA, on October 15, 1929, to the late James Albion Noell and the late Gladys Boyt Noell. She was a 1947 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute, and she was retired from Burdine's Department Store where she was a warehouse manager. Mrs. Culverhouse enjoyed crafts and puzzles. She was a member of Britt David Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Culverhouse was preceded in death by her husband, George B. "Jack" Culverhouse, Jr. and three sisters: Hilda Moulton, Jean Warren, and Faye Chambers. She is survived by two sons: George (Maureen) Culverhouse of Pine Mountain, GA, and Joe (Samantha) Culverhouse of Warner Robins, GA; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
