Mrs. Dolly Milner Kirkland

Mrs. Dolly Milner Kirkland, 82, of Thomaston, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services for Mrs. Kirkland will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Kirkland will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Kirkland was born in Thomaston on February 4, 1936, a daughter of the late Clyde Willis and Margaret Morgan Milner. She was a 1954 graduate of the R. E. Lee Institute Class of 1954. Mrs. Kirkland was employed for over 30 years by Bank of Upson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Welcome Sunday School Class. Mrs. Kirkland is survived by her husband, Fred Kirkland; a daughter, Jill K. (Ron) Ray of Lawrenceville; two sons, Eric (Penny) Kirkland of Midlothian, VA, and Terry (Kaysie) Kirkland of Thomaston; a sister, Helen M. Shockley of Thomaston; a brother, Bobby (Pat) Milner of Lithia Springs; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
