Mrs. Donlea Maynard Ryals

Mrs. Donlea Maynard Ryals, 53, of Thomaston, died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Private cryptside funeral services for Mrs. Ryals will be held Monday, July 25, at 10:30, at Upson Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Jason Weems officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, from 9:30 - 10:30 at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Ryals was born March 1, 1969, in Portsmith, VA, to Betty Elrod Maynard and the late W. T. Maynard. She was a graduate of Upson-Lee High School and was employed by Ingles Markets for over twenty years. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Daniel Salter. Mrs. Ryals is survived by her husband, James T. "Butch" Ryals of Thomaston; a daughter, Dakota McGouirk of Thomaston; a son, Matthew (Sarah) Alvarado of Las Cruces, New Mexico; her mother, Betty Elrod Maynard of Thomaston; a sister, Diane Ryals;a sister-in-law, Nan Ryals; and two granddaughters, Sydney and Olivia McGouirk. Several nephews and great nieces and great nephews also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
