Mrs. Donnie Doris Johnson Gordy

Mrs. Donnie Doris Johnson Gordy, age 84, of Thomaston, died Thursday, April 20, 2023, at her residence. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, April 23, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the residence, 608 Jeff Davis Road, Thomaston.

Mrs. Gordy was born April 1, 1939, in Upson County to the late Sam Washington Johnson and the late Sadie Irene Hammock Johnson. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gordy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gordy; a sister, Louise Hammack; and seven brothers: Johnnie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Hugh Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Bo Johnson, Sam Johnson, Jr., and Luther Johnson.

Survivors include a special niece and best friend, Stephanie Johnson, and many other nieces and nephews.
