Mrs. Dorothy H. Kelly Stafford

Mrs. Dorothy H. Kelly Stafford, age 83, of Whittier NC, formerly of Thomaston, died Sunday April 24, 2016 at her residence. Funeral Services for Mrs. Stafford will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Dr. Jeffrey Morgan will officiate and interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00AM until the funeral hour. Mrs. Stafford was born on November 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Fulton Howell and Pearl Horne Sumner Howell. She was a member of the Mable White Baptist Church in Macon. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Stafford is survived by her husband, Eldridge Stafford of Whittier, NC; four sons, Jim (Pat) Kelly, Steve Kelly, Bill (Anne) Kelly, and Ken (Billene) Kelly, all of Thomaston; a brother, Edsel Howell of Gray; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Dorothy Ann Kelly and Bobby Kelly; and three grandchildren, Chris Kelly, Johnny Wheeler and Greg Wheeler. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
