Mrs. Edna Ruth Gilbert Fuller Bishop

Mrs. Edna Ruth Gilbert Fuller Bishop, age 84, of Thomaston, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at her residence. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral with Rev. Keith Adams and Rev. Milton Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Crystal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 3:00 until 4:00 at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Bishop was born July 16, 193l, in Meriwether County to the late John Thomas and Elizabeth Long Gilbert. She had worked for W. T. Grant and as a department manager for K-Mart. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Church, and she loved quilting. She was preceded in death by husbands: Derward Fuller and Alvin Ferrell Bishop; a son: Ferrell Bishop, and stepsons: Bo Bishop and Jackie Bishop. Mrs. Bishop is survived by six daughters: Norma Fuller (Anthony)Hauck, Cathy (Keith) Johnson, Kay Fuller (Randy) Payton, Annette Fuller (Craig) Casteel, Pamela Bishop (Wesley) Wilson, and Loretta Bishop (Whit) Lackey, all of Thomaston; three sons: Wade (Gwen) Fuller, of Thomaston; Terry (Helen) Bishop and Tony Bishop, both of LaGrange. 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren also survive.
