Mrs. Elaine Bice Wilkerson, age 84, of Snellville, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Snellville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Everette Wilkerson. She is survived by her daughter, Deanne and Danny Lambert of Loganville, GA; son, Michael and Cindy of Suwanee GA; daughter, Sandra and Allen Smith of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Laney Wilkerson of Atlanta, GA, Alex Wilkerson of Suwanee GA, Kaley and Dalton Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Jack and Jacob Lambert of Loganville, GA; sister, Janice Bennett of Thomaston, Ga; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Wilkerson was born in LaGrange, GA. She attended Truitt McConnell University in Cleveland, GA as well as Mercer University in Macon, GA earning a bachelor’s degree in education. After many years of being a stay-at-home mom, she returned to what she loved, teaching. Mrs. Wilkerson taught for many years before retiring to spend time with her husband and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a love for her grandchildren like no other. While living in Snellville, Mrs. Wilkerson attended the First Baptist Church of Snellville. She loved to read her Bible and was involved in many activities and classes at the church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Crystal Hill Cemetery, 321 Hannahs Mill Rd, Thomaston, GA 30286. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all local arrangements.
